Alice Schwarzer is a German feminist, journalist and author, born in 1942. She is the founder and long-time editor-in-chief of the feminist magazine EMMA. She became widely known for her activism for women's rights in Germany and internationally, including her campaign against Paragraph 218, which banned abortion.
