This is one of nine German dates for the iconic musical in the original Sasson/Sautter production. Konzerthaus Freiburg, opened in 1996 and designed by architect Dietrich Bangert, is a major concert hall in the city centre with a main auditorium seating up to 1,800 guests. The production transports audiences into the dark, romantic world of the Paris Opera, where a mysterious Phantom hides in the depths below and falls in love with the young soprano Christine.
