La Traviata - Oper Leipzig

La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi takes the stage at Oper Leipzig on Friday, 25 September 2026 at 19:30. Located at Augustusplatz in the heart of the city, Oper Leipzig ranks among Germany's most prestigious opera houses. The building, opened in 1960, serves as home to the ensemble offering a rich operatic and ballet repertoire. This classical Verdi opera, telling the tragic story of love and sacrifice, is one of nine German dates on the artist's tour. Leipzig hosts the production in the latter part of the season, following earlier performances in Oldenburg, Berlin, Munich, Dresden, Bielefeld, Düsseldorf, Karlsruhe, and Halle.
