Die Entführung aus dem Serail (The Abduction from the Seraglio) is an opera in three acts composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, premiering in Vienna in 1782. It is one of the most celebrated examples of the German singspiel genre. The opera tells the story of the rescue of the kidnapped Konstanze from a Turkish harem.
