Kurt Tucholsky (1890–1935) was a German writer, satirist and journalist, one of the most prominent voices of the Weimar Republic era. He wrote poetry, cabaret texts, feuilletons and political satire, often under several pseudonyms. His work sharply criticised militarism, nationalism and social hypocrisy.
