Moulin Rouge! The Musical is based on Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film of the same name. Set in the Paris cabaret at the turn of the 20th century, it follows a young poet who falls for a star dancer. Instead of an original score, the show weaves together pop hits spanning several decades - from David Bowie to Lady Gaga. It opened on Broadway in 2018 and won eight Tony Awards.
