Peter Alexander (1926–2011) was an Austrian singer and actor, one of the most popular entertainers in the German-speaking world of the 20th century. He became famous for hits such as „Hier ist ein Mensch" and for his roles in numerous film comedies of the 1950s and 60s. His style blended pop, schlager and chanson with a distinctive personal charm.
