System Of A Down is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, formed in 1994 by musicians of Armenian descent. Their music blends metal with Armenian folk influences, experimental sounds, and politically charged lyrics. Among their best-known albums are Toxicity (2001) and Mezmerize (2005).
