Mozart: Requiem at the Hour of His Death
Fri, 4 Dec 2026 · 23:55
Stephansdom, Vienna, Austria
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart brings a performance of Requiem to Stephansdom (St. Stephen's Cathedral) in Wien on Friday, 4 December 2026 at 23:55 — precisely at the moment of the composer's death. Stephansdom, Wien's most iconic Gothic cathedral with its distinctive south tower rising 137 metres, built primarily in the 14th and 15th centuries, provides an exceptional setting for this unique performance. This is one of nine Austrian dates on the artist's tour, which also includes other Wien venues as well as Salzburg and Wiener Neustadt. The cathedral, seat of the Vienna archbishop, regularly hosts classical music concerts alongside its liturgical services.
