Serenades, Serenades... – 29th Chamber Music Festival EVENINGS IN THE ARSENAL named after Jan Staniendy

Serenades are like the nightingale's nocturnal song, a lover's call in a "balcony scene", and sometimes they are simply cheerful, atmospheric music. Often composed for strings alone, they do not overwhelm the listener with a vast array of sounds. They work wonderfully as open-air music with a starry sky overhead. What could be more beautiful than opening our "Evenings" in the company of such masters as Mozart and Tchaikovsky? We invite you to see for yourselves.
