This is probably the best news of the new year: the WAHNSINN is back! "Wahnsinn - Die Show" returns to the stage in 2026 as a grand birthday celebration for Wolfgang Petry.

2026 marks the year Wolle would have turned 75 and celebrated 50 years on stage. Even though he no longer performs himself, his fans have every reason to celebrate all his hits and earworms. "Wahnsinn - Die Show 2026" delivers a full set of Wolfgang Petry classics and doubles as a vivid trip through time, bringing back moving moments, entertaining stories and personal anecdotes from his career. Now in its fifth edition, the show puts the music and original songs of this Schlager icon front and centre, throwing a full-blown birthday party with hits like "Verlieben, verloren, vergessen, verzeihen", "Der Himmel brennt" and, of course, "Wahnsinn".

More than 150,000 people have seen the show since its first tour in 2022, and the response has been overwhelming. What fans love most is the feel of a real live concert. The production picks up where Petry's celebrated "Einfach Geil" farewell tour of 1999 left off, using footage from that era to transport the audience straight back to the spirit of those years: feeling that energy one more time, singing along to every hit as if there were no tomorrow. Since the music legend has long since retired from live performance, this show gives fans the chance to relive his songs together.
