Arktos, a terrible Snowman, seeks to cover the world in ice. The old dragon Tyrion wants to prepare his small son Tabaluga for his destiny - protecting the world. To do this, Tabaluga must find the True Fire, which will allow him to stop Arktos' plans.

Tabaluga sets out on his journey, supported by a wizard. Along the way, he faces many dangers, such as the spider woman Tarantula, but also discovers beautiful things. He learns that a world filled with both good and evil is worth saving. Yet Arktos does not give up - from pure ice, he creates the beautiful girl Lilli, whose only task is to distract Tabaluga from his quest. Tabaluga, as Arktos planned, falls in love with Lilli. But through this love, he discovers a great and beautiful power - the power of love.
