Thomas Rühmann & Band now write their own music. The lyrics come from poet friends - above all Hans-Eckardt Wenzel, André Schinkel, Volker Braun and Jörn Brumme.

For a long time, Thomas Rühmann & Band toured with "False Songs" - bringing together things that don't belong together but fit together surprisingly well: Wenzel's poetry set to music by Lambchop, Bon Iver, Tunng, Kings of Convenience, Mark Knopfler, Tracy Chapman, The Whitest Boy Alive and Neil Young. Now comes the original. Real instead of false.

He is a musician and actor, director of his own theatre (on the edge of the Oderbruch region) and a genuine TV star. Long before he drew millions of viewers to their screens each week in the ARD hit series "In aller Freundschaft" - white coat and stethoscope in hand - he was already touring stages, concert halls and music clubs across the country with various programmes. That continues in 2025. Thomas Rühmann tells the small and large stories of life: always personal, always playful, with a generous dose of poetry and even more of life itself. A concert evening that works perfectly well outside any "hospital routine" - and above all, is a genuine pleasure.
