Concert with Olga Reiser

Flutist Olga Reiser was born in Norilsk, Russia, and her performances have been recognized with awards and grants at several international music competitions.

Those who have known the flute only as an orchestral or chamber instrument are in for a surprising journey of discovery. Olga Reiser, a passionate devotee of her instrument, showcases the solo qualities of the flute in an impressive way. In her programme "Flute Tales", she uses a loop station to weave together multiple layers of her flute playing, combines them with rhythmic beatboxing and jazz elements, and explores new possibilities of musical expression. The concert features the entire flute family - from piccolo to alto flute - as well as a digital alarm clock and other electronic devices.

Alongside Johann Sebastian Bach's Minuet No. 2 in G minor, contemporary works by Ian Clarke, Greg Pattillo and Tilmann Dehnhard are heard, as well as her own compositions and improvisations. An evening full of curiosity, energy and musical experimental spirit.
