Rill lived in Austin, Texas, where he honed his musical craft. Over the quarter-century since his debut album, he has played in tiny dives, large clubs, and on massive open-air stages - solo, in duo settings, and with a full band. He has recorded albums in Nashville, Tennessee, won international songwriter awards and German Country Music prizes, and shared the stage with legends such as Townes van Zandt, Rosanne Cash, Southside Johnny, Jason Isbell, and many others - across the USA, Germany, Scandinavia, the UK, France, Spain, and the Netherlands.
