Advertisers call us "Best Agers" and the world is our oyster - as long as we have enough pocket money. Sure, many of us can't move without making noise, and some of us have arms too short to read the fine print. But the signposts on the path to self-fulfilment? Those we see with the heart, not the eyes.

But here's the catch: we can't waste the second half of life on bad calendar quotes! Time is ticking, so when it comes to self-fulfilment, we need to decide fast: a master's degree, climbing Mount Everest, or a Me Time Challenge with macramé? Saving the world or wine tasting?
