Durchgangsverkehr - ausgebremst und abgezockt
In their 11th programme, the duo once again serves up a lively mix of cabaret, comedy and music. Wordplay, improvisational theatre and situational humour are their trusted tools - which means every show is a little different from the last.
Weibsbilder - no longer a hidden gem after 26 years on stage - consists of Claudia Thiel and Anke Brausch from the Eifel region.
"Durchgangsverkehr - ausgebremst und abgezockt" is the title of their new show. This time, the two women slip into the roles of German law enforcers, charmingly educating the audience on what to avoid in road traffic - and sharing some of their own daring self-experiments along the way.
Over the years, the pair have racked up a few offences of their own: they stand accused mainly of mischief and outright tomfoolery, and their sharp one-liners have reportedly assaulted unsuspecting audience members in the laugh-muscle region on multiple occasions. With their programmes they force their victims - the innocent public - to swap stern faces for grins, deploying cabaret wit and comedic slapstick to induce a state not unlike mild intoxication.
The duo can also be found under the aliases Tineke, Christel, Britta and Gundula. These well-loved stage characters are naturally back for this show. Christel Müller from Kalenborn-Scheuern combines deep-Catholic Eifel cunning with worldly airs - rarely successfully. Seven-year-old Tineke, working as a school crossing guard, exposes the pitfalls of road traffic, while Britta desperately tries to hold on to her beloved driving licence.
