Die UDO JÜRGENS STORY
A tribute to the grand master of German-language entertainment

Catchy melodies, a one-of-a-kind personality and an enduring legacy - Udo Jürgens captivated millions of fans on his tours. The emotional concert evening "Die UDO JÜRGENS STORY" is back on the road in 2026 and 2027.

Even those who knew Udo Jürgens personally rave about this tribute: "A must for every Udo fan!" The Austrian artist won the Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson in 1966 with "Merci, Chérie", topping the charts in more than 20 countries. He became one of the most important entertainers of the 20th and early 21st centuries, selling over 100 million records and releasing more than 50 albums - making him one of the most commercially successful male solo artists in the world.

"Die UDO JÜRGENS STORY" gives fans the chance to feel close to their idol once more. This remarkable tribute takes the form of a compelling song evening, put together by Gabriela Benesch, who was named best theatre actress of the year in Vienna in 2014. She appears on stage herself and, as a long-time friend of the Jürgens family, shares fascinating, funny and little-known anecdotes drawn from the artist's personal notes - spanning his childhood all the way to his later years.

Trained pianist Alex Parker sings the works of the beloved schlager legend as if Jürgens himself were standing on stage. The musical journey through time covers all the great hits - "Mit 66 Jahren", "Griechischer Wein", "Liebe ohne Leiden", "Merci, Chérie", "Ich war noch niemals in New York" - plus a handful of rarities, all performed with Parker accompanying himself at the piano in true Jürgens style.
