Torfrock

Torfrock, a rock band from northern Germany, continues touring in 2026 and traditionally celebrates the winter festival "Bagaluten-Wiehnacht" - now in its 35th edition.

The band's history goes back to 1976, when Klaus Büchner and Raymond Voß met in Hamburg to create a unique blend of rock and Low German humour. Since then, Torfrock has become an institution in northern German culture. Their hit "He Jo" - a Low German cover of Hendrix's "Hey Joe" - launched a long string of successes.

Over more than four decades of consistent activity, Torfrock has remained faithful to their fans through authenticity, reliability, and the sheer joy of playing. In 2026, the band will perform not only at Bagaluten-Wiehnacht but also at festivals and solo concerts. Forty-eight years of stage experience, fresh arrangements of their unforgettable classics, and northern German humour make every performance a special event.
