Roland Baisch - Ein Junge namens Renate
Stadthalle Korntal, Korntal-Münchingen, Germany
25 €
Baisch is a comedian of the first hour, having started his career at Scherbentheater and with the Shy Guys. After forays into television he returned to the stage and has been touring with KGB, Männerabend and the Count Baischy Orchester ever since. He has lived in Korntal since childhood.
Now Baisch has written his autobiography. The book "Ein Junge namens Renate" is a rich grab-bag of stories that move and amuse in equal measure, well off the beaten track of mainstream comedy. Baron Münchhausen meets the seriousness of life, Johnny Cash meets Frank Sinatra and Harald Juhnke.
At the heart of this comedy-and-music reading evening are texts in which Roland Baisch traces his own life story as a vividly embellished portrait of post-war West German society. He is accompanied on guitar by Frank Wekenmann, whose sensitive touch and virtuoso playing give each story exactly the right sound.
