Birgit Schaller, Johanna Mucha, Philipp Schaller - three cabaret performers dig into the murky depths of opinion-making. What is still worth believing in, what is still worth fighting for? Plant a tree or dig a bunker? This show carries on the 65-year tradition of the "KEULE" cabaret: no lecturing, just questions of their own. An evening that doesn't parrot the presumptuous question of why "the East votes wrong", but instead asks why the other parties are barely getting any votes at all. An evening that asks why peace demonstrations are suddenly supposed to be right-wing. An evening that asks where the state's respect for its tax-paying citizens has gone. An evening you can laugh at and argue about - which is exactly what "die KEULE" is for. Whatever your political camp - nobody in the audience should feel safe from a punchline.

Sächsische Zeitung calls it a successful "split between sharp differentiation and biting polemic"; Dresdner Neueste Nachrichten labels it close to AfD. That's just how it goes - opinions differ - and the ensemble tries to take it in stride in an era of black-and-white media narratives.

One thing is certain: laughing at the world and mocking yourself brings audible pleasure to performers and audience alike. Musical backing comes from Jens Wagner and Volker Fiebig; the script was written by Philipp Schaller in collaboration with cabaret artist Ellen Schaller, who also directed. Expect rock, satire, and heat.
