A murder in Hinterdaxlfing? And the village chief at that? Police sergeant Anton Gumpendobler faces a puzzle. Armed with his portable typewriter and lunch box, he sets out to find the killer. Could it be someone from the tight-knit village community? A newcomer, a stranger, perhaps even a non-Bavarian?
