An encounter with the year's most important novel
As the Frankfurt Book Fair opens, it is chosen once again: the "novel of the year", awarded by the Book Culture and Reading Promotion Foundation of the German Booksellers Association. The jury selection process is among the most rigorous that exists. For over 20 years, magnificent novels like "Die Holländerinnen", "Landgericht", "Kruso", "Herkunft", and "Blutbuch" have taken the podium. Just days after receiving the prize, this year's winner will appear for an exclusive and major reading, moderated by Sandra Kegel, culture editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, at Schauspiel Frankfurt.
