Dixie Steam Band

Dixie Steam Band from Bremerhaven has been playing traditional jazz, dixieland, ragtime, blues, gospel, musical theatre songs and swing-era hits for over 10 years. Their sound is nostalgic yet fresh - songs from the 1920s, 30s and 40s, from "Charleston" to "Basin Street Blues" and Broadway melodies, make for a varied and entertaining programme.

The band: Sabine Ruth (vocals), Lena Zachow (piano), Jens Feistle (trumpet), Ingolf Buck (clarinet/saxophone), Marlow Möbes (trombone), Enno Berje (tuba) and Malte Nestler (drums) - seven musicians with broad experience across different styles.

The group blends traditional sounds with modern touches, creating a sound that works beautifully in a live concert setting. With more than a decade on stage, Dixie Steam Band brings the unmistakable spirit of the jazz age straight to the audience. Spirited dixieland standards, nostalgic ragtime, grooving blues, rousing swing hits and catchy musical theatre melodies - their wide-ranging repertoire appeals to music lovers of all ages.
