Ill-Young Kim's adventures are fresh and genuine: he travels Germany exploring new depths of absurdity. Light years from his home planet "Korea", Kim ventures into galaxies no one has ever experienced on stage before. He draws on the hair-raising situations he faces daily as a German with an Asian face - including being mistaken for the North Korean dictator, despite being a born-and-bred Cologne local.

Ill-Young Kim is an actor (credits include "Tatort", "Die Friseuse", "St. Pauli Nacht", and "Ninja"), a TV presenter, and a true Cologne native. His parents are from South Korea. In the 1990s he hosted "Electronic Beats" on VIVA Zwei and VIVA. He also worked as a club music producer and DJ. Since early 2010, Ill-Young Kim has been making his mark as a stand-up comedian.
