The duo Rosario Giuliani & Luciano Biondini returns to Pappelgarten! Both exceptional musicians present music full of playfulness, sonic diversity, and intense musical dialogue.

Rosario Giuliani is among Italy's most prominent jazz saxophonists. After studying at the conservatory in Frosinone, he launched an international career that has taken him to major festivals and stages worldwide. Rooted in the hard-bop tradition, he impresses with a clear, precise, and expressive playing style. Giuliani has collaborated with numerous renowned musicians, received multiple awards, and released several albums, including on the Dreyfus Jazz label.

Luciano Biondini ranks among Europe's most versatile accordionists in the jazz and improvisation scene. After classical training, he turned to jazz early on and has been internationally sought-after since the 1990s. He has performed with Rabih Abou-Khalil and Rita Marcotulli, among others, and has developed his own musical voice in various formations. His playing combines technical mastery with great sonic openness and a keen sense of interaction.

Together, Giuliani and Biondini form an intense duo in which saxophone and accordion engage in a lively, equal dialogue. Lyrical passages and rhythmic impulses interweave, creating the special charm of this interplay. We are delighted that both will perform again at Pappelgarten and create this special evening.
