Our Schwobaländle is not one of the federal states defined by politicians - rather, it's a "cultural space," a region where people share a common culture. This includes Swabian frugality: "You have to rub the salt off the pretzel so the guest doesn't get thirsty!" And of course, Spätzle: "Cheese Spätzle, cabbage Spätzle, Leisa with Spätzle, potato Spätzle, Spätzle with sauce..."
Maultaschen are a must on every Swabian menu: melted Maultaschen, Maultaschen in broth, Maultaschen with egg... Maultaschen VEGAN (they're afraid of nothing). And a glass of Most: "A good Most heals every pain, it's the Swabian's pearl. Wine gladdens the human heart, but Most gladdens the whole crew!" (source unknown)
