"She surprised with flawless technique, a nuanced touch and a naturally felt sense of shaping - meeting the demands of the concert in both its lyrical and dramatic dimensions remarkably well." (Sächsische Neueste Nachrichten, 1987). This was written after her graduation recital at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber", where she performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major.
That success prompted her to deepen her artistic voice through further study at the Frédéric Chopin Academy in Warsaw. Today, drawing on her Warsaw experience, recognised appearances at international competitions and a rich concert career, she returns to the stage with her music in fully matured form.
Pianist Franziska Trommler, born in Meißen, received her first piano lessons at the age of four. Formative artistic impulses came from masterclasses in Weimar with Peter Rösel and with Jacob Lateiner (USA). She also pursued additional studies in Berlin with Annerose Schmidt.
Soloist engagements and radio recordings have taken her to Bulgaria, Slovakia, Russia and Italy. She works as a freelance pianist, chamber musician and music teacher. Her CD "Bach-Beethoven-Chopin" was released in 2023, and a further album is currently in preparation.
Driven by her passion for concert life, she founded a classical evening series in the Saxon countryside near Frauenstein, which she has been running successfully for eighteen years. Alongside piano recitals, regular chamber music programmes enrich the series.
The current programme, "Bach - Mozart - Henselt - Chopin", brings together the power and expressive depth of the great masters: the monumentality of the Chaconne, the classical clarity of the Mozart sonata, Chopin's passionate B-flat minor Scherzo, and the Impromptus of Adolf von Henselt - aptly nicknamed the "German Chopin".
