"Schnappschuss!" is the new show from Bavarian singer-songwriter and cabaret artist Mathias Kellner - a sharp-eyed tour through the quirks of everyday life. He digs deep into the Bavarian soul, cataloguing the oddities the day throws up. His witty songs cover everything from the daily tribulations of an "Ohrwaschl" (a Bavarian term for a gullible soul) to a broadside against universally loathed leisure activities. Then there are his masterful Bavarian-dialect reworkings of rock and pop classics: Eric Clapton's Layla becomes "Annamirl", and the House of the Rising Sun suddenly finds itself somewhere near Straubing. These inventive arrangements earned Kellner the Bavarian Dialect Prize in 2024.

Kellner is a one-of-a-kind entertainer. His shows invite you to sing along at full volume, laugh out loud, and drift into daydreams - and when it's over, you'll wish he'd start all over again.
