"Ich habe genug" - Soul Music by J.S. Bach

Two of Johann Sebastian Bach's most profound and moving solo cantatas, BWV 82a "Ich habe genug" and BWV 199 "Mein Herze schwimmt im Blut", take centre stage in this special concert. The evening promises an atmosphere rich with intimacy, solace, and musical depth.

Monika Mauch, an outstanding German soprano specializing in Baroque music, stands out for her clear and expressive voice. She studied with Richard Wistreich in Trossingen, Jill Feldman in Paris, Rita Loving in Munich, Kai Wessel in Cologne, and Kimberley Brockman in St Gallen. She performs with renowned ensembles worldwide, including Ensemble Daedalus, Collegium Vocale Gent, Hilliard Ensemble, Cantus Cölln, and many others.

The Sinfonietta Barock accompanies the soprano on period instruments under the direction of Lukas Grimm. Founded in 2002, the ensemble consists of experienced professional musicians specializing in Baroque performance practice.
