EBERWEIN - BAIRISCHER KAMMERSOUND
Asamtheater Freising, Germany
19 €
"Bairischer Kammersound" - that is how the ensemble describes its own music. Five musicians rooted in Bavarian musical tradition play with chamber-music intimacy, crafting a distinctive, warm crossover between tradition and the contemporary. Driven by the sound of the harp, they move virtuosically across genre boundaries and bring a fresh perspective to the world of new Heimat music.
Eberwein blends the dancing polka with playful jazz or melancholic klezmer. In between, the singing is genuinely heartwarming: cheerful Gstanzl and four-line verses over irresistible rhythms, everyday stories turned into lively couplets and chansons.
Marlene Eberwein (harp)
Stephan Reiser (saxophone/clarinet)
Stefan Lang (trumpet/percussion)
Michael Reiß (guitar)
Max Seefelder (double bass)
"This isn't a facelift - it's a full energetic overhaul," critics recently raved. Eberwein: music to unwind to.
