Josef and Tina Stier take children into the realm of enchanted fairy tales. A boastful miller wants only the best for his daughter and claims she can spin straw into gold. The king thinks she would make the perfect queen! In her hour of need, a fiery little man rushes to her aid - but the price he demands is one that cannot be paid!

In the end, everything works out wonderfully and a grand fairy-tale wedding takes place! Children get to join in the action - playing the roles of straw and gold, while keeping a sharp eye out for the little man's mysterious name.
