Live Stand-Up Comedy hosted by Rasmus Syman & friends
Orchesterzentrum NRW, Dortmund, Germany
Live stand-up comedy with Björn von Morgenstern, Mareike Richter and Philip Wefel, hosted by Rasmus Syman.
Comedian and Kamen-in-exile Rasmus Syman brings a hand-picked line-up to the concert hall on 30 August. For the first edition of Lachschicht, he invites three fellow artists from the Ruhr area to his hometown - an evening of honest, unfiltered laughs featuring the best of what young German comedy has to offer right now.
Björn von Morgenstern
Within two years, the Essen-based comedian has become the most sought-after newcomer on the German comedy scene. Hundreds of thousands follow him for his social media clips, where he cheekily but warmly engages with audiences or tells stories from his village childhood in his unmistakably authentic style.
Mareike Richter
Mareike Richter has been doing stand-up for three years - and regrets it a little less every day. The 42-year-old from Münster, with roots in the Ruhr area, enjoys subverting expectations, whether it's her neighbour's ideas about her weeds or the usual sweet portrayal of mothers in society. She takes her audience on an honest ride, often well outside her own comfort zone.
Philip Wefel
Philip Wefel has no grand messages - just precise punchlines. He's the kind of guy you'd happily grab a beer with, but really just the one. On stage and in his weekly podcast "Dicke Luft", he shares uncomfortably intimate details of his life. Somewhere between self-deprecation and sharp observation, a picture emerges of a small-town Ruhr guy who wandered into Berlin and navigates the big and small absurdities of daily life with charm.
Rasmus Syman
Rasmus Syman has been a fixture of the German comedy scene since 2019. He has toured as a support act with artists including Filiz Tasdan, Fabi Rommel and Michael Mittermeier, and headlines comedy clubs across Germany. Since May 2025 he has been on tour with his first solo show.
