Hendrik Brehmer - bisschen reingesteigert

- a question most people have asked themselves at least once. Hendrik Brehmer asks it on a regular basis. Life is complicated, and while most people try to muddle through or just accept things as they are, he does the opposite: he accepts nothing. But he doesn't change anything either. Instead, he winds himself up - just a little.

In his debut solo show "bisschen reingesteigert", Hendrik takes the audience into his very personal sense of overwhelm: a 30-year-old somewhere between fatherhood, a relationship, and everything else - plus the urgent question: "Where on earth is my Lego Technic?"

He originally wanted to be a physicist and understand the universe. Now he's a comedian - and he doesn't even understand his own feelings, let alone why there are so many types of pasta. On stage he stands as a young adult swamped by his own anxieties, and afraid of becoming even more swamped.

Hendrik Brehmer isn't trying to explain the world - he couldn't anyway. But he shows just how absurd the attempt to navigate it really is. With dry humour, honest stories and a sharp eye for the ridiculous, he talks about his grandmother's opinions, his father's missing leg, and what it's like to start a family in the capital when you grew up in a small East German town. Hendrik proves that the truth doesn't have to be comfortable to be funny. Real material. No Disney.
