Yes, you read that correctly - the famous detective Sherlock Holmes and myself, Dr. Watson, have found ourselves in the Swabian region. I must admit, not entirely by choice. But our genius could not refuse an invitation from an old acquaintance, the Baroness von Zuckerberg, to a grand dinner. So here we dine, at the very moment when you are enjoying a delicious three-course meal in the adjoining restaurant room.

Fleeing from his table companion, the endlessly chattering Swabian Baroness, the detective barely misses what appears to be the murder of the host's husband, Baron von Zuckerberg.

Admittedly, his health had seen better days. But to suddenly topple headfirst into Swabian noodle soup is hardly the refined English way to die, even in Swabia. For Sherlock Holmes, however, a previously deadly boring evening has been saved.

A dialect-based crime unfolds - and a most perplexing one at that, for the autopsy results seemingly rule out any poisoning. Questioning the witnesses, the coroner, and some of the dinner guests leaves many an innocent-looking person in the room appearing highly suspicious.

With vigour and excellent spirits, the famous detective sets his little grey cells to work. Swabian cunning is spreading, but no false builder can easily deceive the master. For him, of course, the solution soon becomes crystal clear. As always, however, he lets us stumble about in darkness a while longer before virtuously exposing the murderer.
