Wnuk Thinks Out Loud and Reads Aloud - An Autobiographically Dipped Reading Show — Messe Husum & Congress, Husum

Wnuk thinks out loud and reads aloud
- an autobiographically dipped reading show

Oliver Wnuk is always searching for happiness: where it is, when it shows up, why, and how much of it he actually gets.

His collaboration with the Frankfurter Rundschau (FR7) and others produced a series of thoughtful and often funny columns with real depth, now collected in the essay anthology "Besser wird's nicht", published in February 2026 by Lappan-Verlag. On stage, Wnuk reads from it, tells stories, and performs - in short: he acts.

"Besser wird's nicht" is not a sigh of resignation but an invitation: this moment is as good as it gets, so we'd better use it. Oliver Wnuk - actor, father, hypochondriac, and incurable pragmatist - dissects life's small and large indignities: the ego that always wants more; friendships that hold or need to be let go; norms that chafe; the gap between image and reality on set and in real life; the top 5 things people regret at the end; the art of staying quiet when everything screams; and the question of how to remain human in an AI-driven future. Between Christmas lights run amok, a breathtakingly absurd ear study, and an unforgettable night in forensic medicine, a tone emerges that is both light and wise: humorous, tender, free of sentimentality. Wnuk looks at life without bitterness and encourages a gentler view of oneself. A book to smile at, to sit with, to share.

Wnuk first broke through as ULF in the cult comedy series "STROMBERG". As HINNERK FELDMANN in the ZDF hit series "Nord Nord Mord", he has been drawing close to 9-10 million viewers to their screens for 15 years. His more recent work includes the ARD series "Das Leben ist kein Kindergarten", which he wrote and starred in, and the ZDF family series "Die Bachmanns".
