Who doesn't know her: Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Efraim's Daughter Longstocking, age 9, with freckles, red hair and sticking-out braids. Self-assured and strong, she lives in Villa Villekulla with her horse and her monkey. A cult figure for children and a nightmare for stuffy adults - because every attempt to curb Pippi's freedom is doomed to fail.
