A family concert with audience participation, featuring Mathias Christian Kosel (narrator and piano) | Kymia Kermani, clarinet and saxophone | Thomas Himmel, percussion and the Canea Quartet.

This is the story of Peter, who lives with his grandfather on Hansenhof farm beyond Finkenmoor. With no playmates nearby, the animals become his best friends: a little sparrow, a fat duck, and Semmelrogge, the kitchen cat who loves to sing when he's not purring or meowing:

"I am small and mean,
I hiss, scratch and bite,
I am the kitchen cat,
As you know.
But on Sunday
I like to sleep in,
And no mouse
Will lure me out
Of my house - away."

Do you know that tune? Oh yes - and then there's Isegrim, the big grey wolf...

At the hall entrance you'll receive glow sticks to take with you, so you won't get lost in the dark forest.
