Opening Gala of the Albstädter Literaturtage 2026

Music, cabaret, panel talks - the opening gala of the Literaturtage has something for every taste. It will be hosted by Markus Brock, a familiar face as a charming TV presenter on SWR and the "MuseumsCheck" programme on 3sat.

The musical side of the evening is in the hands of well-known TV presenter, journalist and passionate singer Tatjana Geßler, who delivers an engaging and professional set of music classics spanning the 1930s to the present day, joined by jazz pianist Frieder Berlin.

Armed with a guitar, charm and a sharp eye for the unconventional, Elena Seeger turns her music to the big and small questions of our time. Her songs move between humour, hidden meaning, everyday life and absurdity, warmly inviting the audience to laugh along, commiserate and reflect.

Between the programme segments, conversations will take place with Mayor Roland Tralmer, Albschreiber Lucca Bitzer, and the sponsors and partners who round off the evening.
