What do you have to lose when all you have is a cat? That's exactly what Felix inherited: a cat and one coin, nothing more. But the cat has something Felix doesn't - an idea. To pull it off, though, he needs boots. So Felix spends his last coin and gets a cat in boots. Not everyone can say that.

Not everyone can catch partridges either, but a cat can. And with those partridges, the cat heads to the king - who is always hungry. The king also has a daughter, a princess with a mind of her own. That's rarer than it sounds, and Felix notices. The cat makes a discovery too: a castle belonging to a quarrelsome sorcerer. But not for long. In the end, everyone finds their place - the king and the partridges, the princess and Felix, the cat and... well, you'd better find out the rest for yourselves.
