Family Concert: THE LITTLE MERMAID

The highlight of the 2026/27 season for the Kammerorchester Unter den Linden is the world premiere of its new stage programme THE LITTLE MERMAID, set for 13 March 2027 at the Philharmonie - freely adapted from Hans Christian Andersen's famous fairy tale, with freshly composed orchestral music by Andreas Peer Kähler.

At a concert preview performance on 24 January 2027 in Dahlem, the new work will be heard for the first time. In a kind of "Making Of", the audience will also get a rare look into how the text and music came together, and a small exhibition will showcase the large-format stage designs of Berlin painter Gisela Serafin.

The Kammerorchester Unter den Linden performs under the baton of the composer, who also serves as narrator.

Ages 6 and up - 120 minutes, with a coffee, juice and cake break
