Jemaine Clement (born 10 January 1974 in Masterton, New Zealand) is an actor, comedian, musician, and filmmaker of Māori (Ngāti Kahungunu) and Pākehā descent. He rose to international recognition as one half of the Grammy-winning comedy-folk duo Flight of the Conchords, whose HBO series earned him six Primetime Emmy nominations. Beyond music, he co-wrote and co-directed the cult vampire mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows (2014) with Taika Waititi, and has since built a prolific screen career spanning Men in Black 3, the Avatar franchise, Moana, and A Minecraft Movie (2025).
Flight of the Conchords reunited for their first live shows in eight years with three sold-out California dates in May 2026, including two nights at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles as part of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival.
