Morton Feldman

About

Morton Feldman (1926–1987) was an American composer associated with the New York avant-garde. A close friend of John Cage, he experimented with graphic notation and indeterminacy. His works, such as "Triadic Memories" (1981) for solo piano, are characterized by extreme quietness, slow tempos, and a hypnotic, meditative atmosphere.
