Robert Douglas Thomas Pattinson (born 13 May 1986, London) is an English actor who broke through as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) before becoming a global phenomenon as Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga (2008-2012). After Twilight he reinvented himself through demanding arthouse projects - Good Time, The Lighthouse, Tenet - and returned to blockbuster scale with Matt Reeves' The Batman (2022), which grossed over $770 million worldwide. His films have collectively earned more than $4.3 billion at the global box office, placing him among the highest-grossing actors of all time.
