Bodo Wartke is a German cabaret artist, pianist and composer known for his musical-comedy performances. He combines live piano playing with witty lyrics and theatrical elements. His project „Antigone" is a musical-theatrical adaptation of the ancient Greek story.

About: Antigone

Antigone is an ancient Greek tragedy by Sophocles, written around 441 BC. It follows Antigone, daughter of Oedipus, who defies a royal edict to bury her brother Polynices. The play is one of the most frequently performed works of classical antiquity in world theatre.

About the venue: Admiralspalast

The Admiralspalast is a historic entertainment venue in the heart of Berlin, originally opened in 1911. Once one of the city's most glamorous variety and revue theatres, it has hosted opera, cabaret, ice revues, and political events over the decades. Extensively restored and reopened in 2006, it today stages musicals, concerts, comedy, and theatre performances.
