Clan of Xymox is a Dutch band formed in 1981 in Nijmegen. They became pioneers of darkwave and synth-pop in the 1980s and 1990s. Their debut album Clan of Xymox (1985), released on the 4AD label, is regarded as a classic of the gothic music scene.
