The Tenor's Riddle: Mistress or Wife? - A Comic Operetta Full of Hits

"The Tenor's Riddle: Mistress or Wife?" is a comic operetta blending classical concert, cabaret, and operetta show. At the heart of the action is a charismatic lover - Paweł Wisnar (tenor) - caught in romantic entanglements between his energetic wife Dorota Ritz (soprano) and the seductive Monika, played by Wioletta Sędzik (soprano). Pianist and Chopin specialist Piotr Żukowski witnesses the intrigue.

The programme features, among others: "Bo to jest miłość", "Myszko to była cudna noc", "Kto wiedeńską ma krew", "Zdrajcami są wszyscy mężczyźni", "Brunetki, Blondynki", "W rytm walczyka", "Ach mężczyźni", "Czardasz Sylwii", "Tango zapach kobiety" and many other operetta classics. Dorota Ritz holds a doctorate in vocal arts (Academy of Music named after G. and K. Bacewicz in Łódź, 2018) and is a laureate of numerous competitions including the Halina Halska Competition in Wrocław, the International Ferruccio Tagliavini Competition in Deutschlandsberg, Concorso Internazionale "Citta di Alcamo", and the International Vocal Competition "Golden Voices" in Warsaw. She received the President of Szczecin's Artistic Scholarship twice (2007 and 2008). She performed the role of Violetta Villas in Małgorzata Potocka's Sabat Theatre in the production "Star". Paweł Wisnar holds a doctorate in vocal arts (Academy of Music named after G. and K. Bacewicz in Łódź, 2019) and made his debut at age 22 in the title role of "Carewicz" by F. Lehar at the Musical Theatre in Poznań. He has collaborated with the Chamber Opera in Warsaw, the Musical Theatre and the Grand Theatre in Poznań, the Sudeten Philharmonic, the Szczecin Philharmonic, the Olsztyn Philharmonic, the Lübeck Operetta, and Pfalztheater in Kaiserslautern. He is the creator of the projects Operus Arte, OneOn Show, and Love Duet Ritz&Wisnar. The duo has been performing together since 2010.
