Markus Hinterhäuser is an Austrian pianist specialising in contemporary and modern classical music. Since 2017 he has served as Artistic Director of the Salzburger Festspiele. He is known for his collaborations with leading international performers and his deep engagement with 20th- and 21st-century repertoire.
