Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian composer of the Classical period, born in Salzburg in 1756. He was extraordinarily prolific, producing operas, symphonies, concertos, and chamber music. His Requiem in D minor (KV 626) was left unfinished and completed after his death in 1791.
