About the venue

The Kunsthistorisches Museum on Maria-Theresien-Platz is one of the world's great art museums, housed in a monumental Ringstraße building completed in 1891. Its collections span ancient Egypt and the Near East, Greek and Roman antiquities, and an Old Masters picture gallery with works by Bruegel, Vermeer, Raphael and Velázquez. The grand domed hall also serves as a venue for concerts and special events.
